100% Cabernet Franc from Barsotti Vineyard, El Dorado AVA

Barsotti Vineyard sits at 3000’ feet in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada range, farmed by the father-son team of Ron and Chuck Mansfield. The head-trained vines are planted in decomposed pink granite, truly rare soil types for the Foothills. We scored some twice used barrels from a couple culty Napa wine brands (those whom we cannot mention: gag-order), so you’ll notice a very slight oak influence in this wine. We wanted to play off the oak here on the riper fruit profile, producing a medium bodied, more developed wine than we have in the past.
